PHILOSOPHY...
Painting is a means of reflecting contrasts in nature: symmetry and randomness, light and shadow, primary colors and shades of gray; recognizable and incomprehensible.
Art should spark mindfulness: awareness of possibility, potential, and plausibility. Art should be viewed with the expectation of epiphany and we should turn away with an awareness of the uniqueness and genius of the artist.
I am self-taught and the presence of representational art in my painting is random, subconscious and often a coincidence to the viewer’s expectation. Enjoyment in visiting the unexplored is the goal of my creative processes; the challenge is containing , without extinguishing, an idea in a moment of a long journey.
